Miller Valley Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers in the mile-high city of Prescott, Arizona, who desire to see God glorified in all that we do. We are a member of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA) and the Yavapai Association of the Southern Baptist Convention. We believe God is sovereign in all aspects of life, including salvation, and we desire to see many drawn to Christ.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We hold to the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith and we believe in the importance of gathering for worship, prayer, study, and fellowship.

  1. Greetings Chris and Linda,
I hope it’s ok to leave this here. I’m reorganizing my abundant collection of “stuff of life” and came across old letters written to encourage Bob from you Chris (Sr.) I thought I’d let you know we are safely embedded in OH now, Bob teaches English as 2nd Language at Miami University in Middletown, OH to Chinese students. He loves it! He started at Univ. of Dayton w Saudi students.
I work in Cincinnati w Mother/Baby still. Katie married in Oct. 2015 and is expecting in August! We have two grand girls! Lois and Charis Joy (2 1/2 and 8 mos.) who belong to Kevin and Kaitlyn. Nathaniel is graduating from UD School of Law May 2016 and will exam for the OH Bar July 26-28, 2016 (pray :))Bob’s email is robert.g.carl@gmail.com, phone 937-716-3232. We have joined Redeemer Orthodox Presbyterian Church here in Beavercreek, OH. A “Small world moment” when at a lunch invite we met a young gal Becky (her husband Jimmy went to Embry Riddle AZ and now in AF) our jaws dropped when we said we knew a good Reformed Baptist Church there and she said that’s where they went! Someone knows Chris Marley, what a moment! They have joined this same church as well.

    • Hello, Gloria! This is the younger Chris. I will relate the info to my folks. Glad to hear you met the Dossetts! God bless!

  2. First of all I would like to say great blog! I had a quick
question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.
I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints?
    Thanks!

    • That is entirely dependent on the subject, but a general rule for writer’s block is to find somewhere quiet, without distractions, and write an outline for what you want to do. Start with prayer, especially with anything Scripture related.
